October was an exciting month for us, not only because we were busy raising awareness about the importance of cybersecurity for Cybersecurity Awareness Month, but award season is in full swing!

• We were named Western Australia's ‘Emerging Exporter’ and will be representing WA at the upcoming 59th Australian Export & Investment Awards.
• Our CEO, Adam Bennett, won the Defence West Aspire Award for his outstanding leadership and was also a part of the live panel at the AU Cyber Week 2021 to discuss the impact of WA's cyber sector.

Red Piranha’s CEO wins Defence West Aspire Award

We are proud to announce that our Chief Executive Officer Adam Bennett is the winner of the 2021 Defence West Aspire Award for his outstanding leadership within the cybersecurity industry.

Defence West Aspire Award includes a prize of $5000 to cover the cost of a member of the State’s defence industry to attend an international business event, with Adam designated to attend the upcoming RSA Conference in San Francisco.

This award is the icing on the cake for the Red Piranha team. Following an incredibly successful year, the organisation celebrated wins and nominations for five industry awards. Most recently ‘The Next-Gen XDR” award at the 2021 RSA Conference, Western Australian Export Awards, and a nominated finalist of the Cyber Business of the Year Award at the upcoming Defence Connect Industry Awards.

Upcoming Events

It’s never a dull moment at Red Piranha, and much like every other month, October kept us busy. We conducted back-to-back Crystal Eye Essentials Webinar Module 1 and Module 2 Training sessions for our MSPs. We ended the month with the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) Navigation Webinar which saw a great turnout.

This month Red Piranha has already held a successful networking session for our partners in Perth, Western Australia and Melbourne, Victoria. If you missed out, either due to timing or location, we have several more events planned throughout November and December, so keep your eyes peeled.
